Enmax will test water meters in Melbourne and WA over the next two years, the company has announced.
The Melbourne-based company has been contracted to supply water meters for the WA region in the form of water meter kits, which are used to measure how much water is being used and the amount of water available.
In Victoria, the water meter project was first announced by WA Government in 2016 and the first two water meter installations were to be completed in Melbourne in 2018 and 2019.
The company said it would also be testing water meters and other water monitoring equipment in WA, and the testing was expected to begin in 2018.
“Enmax Water Meter Testing” will be undertaken in Melbourne for the first time in 2018, with a total of 1,400 water meter units being supplied by Enmax, with more to follow.
